Indonesia - Flores
Open google maps and take a look at the extensive expanse of SouthEast Asia. In between the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, you will find the Indonesian Archipelago stretching west to east along the Equator. Right at its heart, in the seas of eastern Indonesia lies the snake-shaped island of Flores.
The name Flores is derived from the Portuguese designation for the island's eastern Cape Kopondai - Cabo de Flores or "Cape of Flowers" as the Portuguese were the first Europeans to colonize East Nusa Tenggara.
